Katie + Adam came to California from the UK to have a quiet ceremony at Windansea Beach in La Jolla, and I was so honored to be a part of it-- just them, Bethel, and me. It was such a personal wedding that the four of us were really connected to each other in that moment of their union, and I am very excited to share a few of my favorite photos with you!
Mrs. and Mr. Goodnickels are us. We're wife-and-husband photographers with the privilege of documenting some profoundly awesome moments for some profoundly awesome people. This is what we've been up to lately!
This is another Goodnickels first, I believe. In the past, we only blogged a wedding once it had been completely edited and delivered. However, as I was going through Priscilla + Eddie's images today, I couldn't stop laughing when I got to their portraits and wanted to make your day with some of my favorites. As you can see below, this wasn't a typical portrait session. In fact, this very artistic couple didn't want any posed, formal portraits at all-- so we had a party outside a downtown warehouse instead, in between their ceremony at Presidio Park in Old Town and their reception at SUSHI. I think you could safely categorize this as "controlled chaos" (which is right up our alley). There is nothing more I can say except this: Good. Times.
See for yourself! (More to follow, of course.)
Since we took some time off from blogging while we were deep in wedding season and have been catching up on blogs and sharing all the wonderful couples we've been meeting, it figures that we are a bit behind. So we're making Goodnickels history by sharing with you an engagement session and wedding all in one fell swoop.
Marcia + Jeff were married at the San Diego Botanical Gardens in Encinitas (formally known as the Quail Botanical Gardens, a name to which I know we locals are all still attached!) with an intimate reception at Fidel's in Solana Beach, where they had their first date. Every detail was so personal, and I was honored to be a part of it all.
(Also, the wonderful Bethel was their officiant!)
