This past holiday season brought us a new wave of fun family business that we were eager to embrace. Typically we focus so much on weddings and much less on family portrait sessions, so it was really exciting to grow that part of the Goodnickels brand. Also, I've mentioned it before, but our family clients this year just dominated the "best dressed" category-- I love coordination without matching! Diane + Gerald are expecting their first child-- baby girl Raelyn-- literally any minute! We can't wait to meet her and photograph her beautiful little face. But until then, here are some maternity snaps of the parents-to-be in their home and at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Doesn't Diane look perfect at 8+ months pregnant?

Here's a new kind of blog we've haven't posted before: a baby shower! Diane's shower for her first baby, Raelyn, was held at the Rancho Bernardo Inn (where Diane also had her wedding). Check out some of my favorite shots of all the creative details below. I will be doing a maternity shoot in a couple weeks with Diane, and I can't wait to photograph Raelyn when she arrives!
