Mrs. and Mr. Goodnickels are us. We're wife-and-husband photographers with the privilege of documenting some profoundly awesome moments for some profoundly awesome people. This is what we've been up to lately!

We can't wait for Michele + Eric's November wedding, but until then, we went out for an engagement session full of laughter to celebrate their upcoming union. Here are a few of my favorites from their shoot:

The moment I met Katie + Taylor, I just knew they were our clients. We met in their tea shop, Mad Monk, and chatted not just about their wedding but about friends, San Diego, yoga, and (of course) tea. And as if I wasn't already in love with them from their calm, caring demeanors, they sealed the deal by sending me home with some of the best tea ever for the Mr. and me to enjoy! Phill and I are very excited to photograph their October wedding, but until then, I took this fun duo to Sunset Cliffs Park for their engagement session. This shoot kind of reminds me of a album cover for a folk group in the 60s or 70s... Gotta love that!

As you probably know, we don't do a lot of posed work with our clients, so I was both apprehensive and very excited when I was approached by Sarah of Tailored Sweets to work on a photo shoot with her. Sarah + I came up with our theme and vision for the shoot and put the whole thing together: The Sweet South Rehearsal Dinner. We recruited the very talented Nellie of Stems Design Studio, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. How gorgeous is Nellie's use of peaches and mint to accent the theme and Sarah's super yummy desserts? I feel so lucky to have worked with such talented ladies! Below are some of my favorite images from the session (and below that is a list of all the amazing vendors who made it all happen).
